I Miss Myself
My little girl hugs me, squeezes,
Daddy, I miss you when you’re at work.
I squeeze back, me too.
She commands my eyes with her question look,
you miss yourself?
We laugh and I say yes.
But, you’re there?
But I’m not.
Beautiful Mark!
That is a lovely tender moment beautifully captured. And I know that there and not there feeling at work very well.
Very nice Mark. Almost makes me want to have kids.... ALMOST...
Superb Mark. An beautiful and illuminating father/daughter moment.
Hi Mark - really captured the working week in that short poem - and juxtaposing it with such a tender moment is fantastic!
